| Description |
From Iran comes another striking regional form of this beautiful palm species, yet to be determined. It has similar whitish silver fronds and other wise the same. Having a thick full crown of fronds, it stands out among all other small palms as the most eye catching and highly sought after as a specimen addition to tropical, desert and temperate gardens. Native to coastal Iran, it can tolerant cold well below zero(O)F and heat above 100 F. The only requirement for success is that this genus must be planted in a dry, well drained setting. Full sun is best but, not a must. A cool addition to any xeric (DRY) landscape.
