Native to the island of Bermuda, this species is shorter than most tree Sabals reaching a mature height of 21' and having a crown spread of near 15'Wide. This palm stands out with its crown of fan like fronds that are not cut/split as deeply as the Caribbean species. Having a stocky trunk appearance Sabal bermudanas trunk supports blue green fronds that makes a very strong statement. Very lush crown fronds adorn this stately slow growing species. Cold hardy to the single digits?, some have even survived 6 degrees F with no damage. A fabulous palm! Often called/referred as S. blackburiana, S.princeps, and S. beccariana.
